Preferred one year in medical setting, but not required. Extra consideration given to anyone with prior experience in mental health counseling office. ALO Family Counseling is an expanding clinical mental health private practice located in Wadsworth Ohio. We are a team of dedicated Clinical Counselors who care deeply about our clients and workers and want to work with others who feel the same way. Job Description As an Office Professional, you are out in front, interacting with clients and their families in our office during the check-in/check-out process as well as on the phone, scheduling and following up on accounts. Typical Hours/Schedule Some Flexibility in Schedule In-Office 3-4 days per week 25-40 hours per week Basic Duties Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining strict confidentiality Strong communication, active listening, and empathy Make and receive calls related to client scheduling and accounts Check voicemail and return calls Collect insurance details from clients and maintain private files Conduct basic facility duties to maintain a clean and comfortable atmosphere The ability to remain calm during stressful situations and offer support to distressed callers of visitors Support a group of counselors with basic tasks, such as making copies, following-up on documentation, and rescheduling clients Handle varies administrative tasks, such as collection of monies from patients, scanning documents, faxing documents, communication with outside agencies in a professional manner Adhere to high ethical standards and maintain a strict commitment to privacy Organization Desired Qualifications Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products Working knowledge of basic office equipment: PC, Printer, Phone System Experience in an office environment that values and requires confidentiality for our clients and their families Experience with electronic health records (EHR) Experience within the medical world, including insurance companies, prior authorizations, and chart reviews
