Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of a dedicated healthcare team of Chiropractic and Physical Theripists. Will consider pay dependent on your skills and expirience. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Using Jane softwear Schedule appointments accurately through medical scheduling software, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage calendar updates, call noshows, cancelations and previous patients. Collect and process medical payments and insurance claims utilizing medical billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and medical collection procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations. We hire a Medical Billing company that will follow through on billing. Review and update patient records, ensuring proper documentation review for accuracy and completeness in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Handle phone communication professionally, answer inquiries, direct calls appropriately, and maintain excellent phone etiquette. Maintain organized medical records, files, and electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with health information management standards. Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation, reviewing medical documentation, and assisting with administrative support tasks such as filing, and data entry. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting with familiarity using EMR/EHR systems like Jane or other comparable brands. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA regulations, and health information management practices. Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), billing procedures, and understanding of clinical confidentiality policies. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated clerical skills including filing, data entry, typing speed (10 key), and computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and administrative tasks. Previous clinic or dental clinic experience is highly desirable; familiarity with office management practices is preferred. Knowledge of health insurance processes and medical administrative support is essential for success in this role. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
