Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a friendly and efficient check-in process Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing Collect payments and perform medical collections to support the clinic's revenue cycle management Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately Maintain organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Review documentation for accuracy, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for billing purposes Assist with intake procedures, including patient registration, data entry, and updating health information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Handle office management tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running smoothly Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency with EMR systems Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and private insurers Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with health information management software Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and compassionately Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred to understand workflow and patient care processes Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and documentation review Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a busy healthcare environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier administrative support in a vibrant healthcare setting.
