Our mission is to educate women about their breast health and provide a comfortable, patient-centered imaging experience. Position Summary The Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and community members. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the front office. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, professional, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment. They are passionate about creating a positive patient experience and take pride in providing outstanding service. Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients with warmth and professionalism. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages promptly and courteously. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Explain appointment preparation, clinic policies, and payment procedures. Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records. Verify patient information and maintain electronic medical records. Assist patients with intake forms and required documentation. Coordinate communication with referring healthcare providers. Upload, organize, and manage patient records and imaging documentation. Assist with provider referrals and administrative support. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Monitor office supplies and assist with inventory management. Support marketing and community outreach efforts as needed. Assist with special projects and other administrative duties assigned by leadership. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with computers and common office software. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Preferred Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Experience with scheduling software or electronic medical records. Customer service or reception experience. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines. Experience handling patient payments and insurance documentation.
