Experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator Newport, OR Competitive Hourly Wage (DOE) | Benefits | Full-Time | Tuesday-Friday We believe exceptional care begins with exceptional people. We're looking for an experienced professional with dental office experience who enjoys building lasting relationships with patients while helping create an exceptional patient experience from the first phone call through every visit. Our practice serves many long-time patients and a large senior population, so kindness, patience, professionalism, and excellent communication are essential. Position Overview As a Front Office Coordinator, you'll be an important part of creating a welcoming, efficient, and positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting and checking patients in and out Filling same-day and future hygiene openings Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility Preparing treatment estimates Coordinating treatment scheduling and financial arrangements Communicating professionally with patients by phone, text, and email Supporting the other front office and clinical team What We're Looking For Previous dental front office or dental assisting experience (required) Dentrix experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of dental insurance and treatment coordination Dependable, organized, and team-oriented Professional with patients and coworkers Comfortable caring for seniors and building long-term patient relationships Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve Someone who values and encourages a respectful, collaborative workplace Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $24 - $28.00/hr (DOE) Benefits include: Paid vacation time in addition to Oregon sick time We observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day• 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution after 1,000 hours, regardless of your contribution Dental care for you and your household Scrubs (Figs) and shoes provided with weekly laundering and pressing Stocked break room If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with a practice that values integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional patient care, we'd love to hear from you! All inquiries and applications are confidential. • Holiday Office Hours and Closures We typically close the office for one week around the Christmas holiday. We also typically work only a half day the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and are closed the Friday after Thanksgiving, creating a four-day Thanksgiving weekend.
