Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our medical practice. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software AthenaOne
  • Collect patient information and update electronic medical records (EMR) system AthenaOne
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with completing necessary forms
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
  • Manage medical records, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
  • Handle billing inquiries and process payments
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and mailing
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (we use AthenaOne)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with medical scheduling software is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus We offer competitive pay based on experience.
