Unit Secretary Pine Run Village

9am-5:30pm No weekends/holidays

No Weekends Compensation from $17.00/hour to $19.00/hour - (based upon experience)
Status/Shift:

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Knowledge of medical terminology Strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to provide exceptional customer service and positive interactions Capable of working independently or as a team Creative thinking and positive attitude
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Answers phone calls on unit and forwards to appropriate nursing staff, and/or takes and forwards messages. Greets and directs visitors. Maintains files for laboratory submissions and test results. Schedules laboratory testing, X-rays and other medical testing as requested. Prepares medical records for new admissions. Assists licensed staff with physician order transcription. Assists medical records in the maintenance of resident's charts. Prepares and directs correspondence for assigned nursing areas. Assists with scheduling resident appointments outside of nursing center Monitors and maintains proper levels of supplies on the unit. Assists in maintaining a clean and organized work area. Must possess and exhibit a strong positive attitude toward customer service and have a genuine interest in senior care. Maintains confidentiality and rights of all customers. Interacts cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and other staff.
