Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! This energetic role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently managing front desk operations. As the first point of contact, you will handle patient interactions, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical record management with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in dental terminology, medical billing, and office management systems will ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Open Dental Manage patient records with precision, including documentation review and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and collection of copayments or outstanding balances Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental charts, and administrative documents while adhering to HIPAA regulations Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like OpenDental or similar software is a plus Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with office management tools Experience in medical billing, insurance verification, care plan coordination, and medical collection processes Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Bilingual capabilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and office management expertise Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of health information Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care while supporting our patients' health journeys! Pay:
