Front Desk Associate/Patient Care Representative Job Summary The Well Woman Co is seeking a dynamic, patient-focused Part-Time Front Desk Associate to join our new OBGYN practice. This position has opportunity for future Full-Time employment. In this role, you will serve as the welcoming first point of contact for our patients and ensure the smooth, efficient operation of our front office. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and experienced, with exceptional communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage patient check-in/check-out, and collect co-pays and balances. Answer multi-line phones, triage calls, schedule patient appointments, and handle administrative inquiries. Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary prior authorizations, and manage patient registration and documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting room and reception area. Manage administrative office tasks, including scanning, filing, messaging providers, and handling incoming/outgoing mail or faxes.
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 1-2 years of front desk or administrative experience in a medical office setting (OBGYN, women's health, or primary care experience strongly preferred).
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems—experience with ModMed is a plus. Strong understanding of health insurance verification, co-pays, and medical office workflows. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
