Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities In this role you will be: Schedule diagnostic imaging examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and patient needs. Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required authorization or referral information. Register and check in patients for imaging appointments. Provide patients with appointment information, preparation instructions, arrival times, and other necessary details. Answer patient questions regarding scheduling, preparation, and general imaging department procedures. Coordinate rescheduling and cancellations while maintaining efficient use of imaging resources. Assist with arranging transportation or other services when applicable. Assist with maintaining smooth patient flow throughout the Imaging Department. Coordinate with Emergency Department, inpatient units, surgery, nursing, registration, and other hospital departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required ; additional qualifications in office administration preferred
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
