In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, providing excellent customer service at all times Schedule patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification to facilitate smooth billing processes Manage multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary Maintain accurate medical records by filing, updating, and reviewing documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare claims submission Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, managing clinic supplies, and maintaining organized filing systems Handle patient intake procedures efficiently, including collecting demographic information and updating health histories Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health information management Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), billing procedures, insurance verification, and Medicare guidelines Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and data entry accuracy (10-key typing) Strong organizational skills with the ability to review documentation meticulously while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience at the front desk Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Experience working in dental or hospital environments is advantageous but not required Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding healthcare experiences.
