We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing phone systems, and performing various administrative tasks in a medical office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Collect and verify patient insurance information
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
