We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Entry-Level Medical Receptionist assist patients with registration, insurance verification, and payment processing. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience, while supporting timely and accurate billing.Responsibilities:
Patient Registration:
Assist with completing patient preregistration. Confirm and update demographic information such as name, address, date of birth, and contact details. Gather basic clinical information based on scheduled services.Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance coverage using phone, online portals, or electronic systems. Ensure correct insurance plan codes are entered and check coordination of benefits (COB) order.Payment Support:
Confirm patient financial responsibility and provide cost estimates. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other liabilities at the time of service. Post payments in the system accurately and perform daily reconciliation. Refer complex or self-pay cases to Financial Counselors when necessary.Customer Service & Communication:
Deliver a welcoming and professional experience to all patients, visitors, and staff. Communicate effectively with internal departments, physician offices, and external partners. Maintain a positive and team-oriented work environment.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance is a plus, but not required. Ability to use standard computer systems and learn electronic health record (EHR) software. Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.Shift Availability:
There are day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Candidates must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled. Evening and night shift availability is strongly preferred.About Our Company:
