Job Description

Summary Receives patients and visitors, answers telephones, schedules patients ensuring appropriate referrals, and performs a variety of clerical duties (e.g., typing, creating forms and reports, maintaining files, distributing mail and patient orders, photocopying, faxing). Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Working knowledge of personal computers, including the Microsoft Office software. Strong communication, organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous secretarial experience. Medical terminology knowledge. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Completion of coursework for Health Unit Coordinator or Medical Secretary.
