Manage patient flow, optimize appointment schedules, and minimize wait times in collaboration with clinical staff Provide a friendly, welcoming environment, address inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist patients with insurance benefits and payment options Maintain a positive, inviting atmosphere in the reception area, ensure cleanliness and organization for an exceptional patient experience Coordinate treatment plans by scheduling multiple appointments, confirming appointments, and following up with patients to address any scheduling changes Work closely with clinical team to facilitate effective communication and coordination, contributing to a patient-focused, collaborative culture Make decisions and solve problems quickly with sensible, well-communicated solutions
DUTIES/TASKS TO PERFORM
Greet patients as they arrive at the office Respond to and manage a multi-line phone system Assist patients with information forms Verify insurance benefits, take and enter payments from patients and insurance Submit insurance claims with supporting documentation, and make additional financial arrangements with patients when necessary Update patient records and document recent treatments and procedures Organize and maintain patient waiting area as well as front desk area Communicate post-treatment care to patients Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent Experience in customer service and/or patient care Professional demeanor, clean appearance, friendly personality, and positive attitude At least one (1) year of experience in a dental office Knowledge of dental practices and procedures Experience with dental terminology Familiarity with dental insurance and dental codes
