Outpatient Medical Office Job Summary A growing outpatient medical practice is seeking a professional, organized, and dependable Medical Secretary to support daily front-office operations. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service to patients, communicate effectively with clinical staff, and help maintain an efficient and welcoming office environment. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient questions Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information Process payments, copays, and outstanding balances Maintain accurate electronic patient records Assist with medical records requests, referrals, and required paperwork Communicate patient messages to nurses and providers Help maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance Perform general administrative duties as needed Support the clinical and administrative teams with daily office operations Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred Excellent communication and customer-service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy office environment Professional and compassionate approach when assisting patients Comfortable using computers, office software, and electronic health record systems Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA regulations is helpful High school diploma or equivalent required Schedule 32 hours per week Daytime and weekday availability required What We Offer Professional and supportive work environment Consistent daytime scheduling Opportunity to join a growing healthcare team Competitive compensation based on experience Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with a current résumé and a brief summary of their relevant experience.
