Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes using electronic health record (EHR) system eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize clinic flow Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing and collections accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records by updating and reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information or directing calls to appropriate personnel while maintaining excellent phone etiquette Process payments Skills Proven experience in a medical office environment with strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Proficiency in insurance verification Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information Exceptional customer service skills paired with effective phone etiquette and multi-tasking abilities in a busy front desk setting Knowledge of medical terminology, and health insurance processes to facilitate smooth clinic operations Experience with electronic health records management, documentation review, and office management procedures Join us to make a meaningful impact in healthcare delivery!
