Full Job Description Position:
Unit Secretary NHC HealthCare Lexington is looking for a Unit Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a health care setting. Qualifications HS diploma or Equivalent. CNA with Administrative Experience Ability to communicate professional orally and written Basic computer skills required Familiar with answering a multi-line phone system Knowledge to operate basic office equipment Responsibilities Answer unit phones, direct calls, and answer questions as needed. Schedule patient appointments, and notify families of upcoming appointments. Confirm and arrange patient transport. Manage documents for patient appointments, discharges, and room changes. Communicate daily appointments, admissions, discharges, and room changes to unit CNAs. Answer call lights, assist with meals, and provide assistance to patients as needed. Pass ice and obtain vitals at the start of the work day. Attend patient admission and care plan meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned by the unit manager or
