Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and billing processes, as well as proficiency in electronic health record systems.
MUST HAVE MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE IN A FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT TO BE CONSIDERED.
Responsibilities
  • Works with both doctors and audiologists
  • Scheduling appointments for patients in eCW - new patients, f/u appointments
  • Entering appointment information into both systems (HearForm and eCW)
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Answering phone calls
  • Check the fax inbox
  • Work incoming referrals
  • Check and answer emails
  • Pull up the Teams app to communicate with other offices
  • Website requests
  • Preparing patient accounts prior to clinic
  • Scan and file documents into Hearform and eCW
  • Run insurance eligibility and RX eligibility
  • Abstract patient information from charts into the system
  • Work the bump list for assigned providers
  • Check voicemails
  • Pull charts and prepped for the next day clinic
  • Entering charges and payments into eCW
  • Reschedule appointments for both doctors and audiologists as needed Skills Proficient in computerized systems for managing patient records and scheduling.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices. Strong patient service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment. Excellent phone etiquette to handle patient inquiries effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual responsibilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
