Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for our patients from the first phone call to the completion of treatment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-first attitude, and the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Scheduling Greet patients warmly in person and over the phone. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. Coordinate patient flow to ensure minimal wait times and efficient treatment. Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and financial policies. Answer patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, billing, and appointments. Administrative Duties Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations. Handle billing and payment processing. Follow up with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and outstanding balances. Maintain the front desk area and ensure all paperwork is up to date. Team Collaboration Communicate clearly with dentists, hygienists, and other team members about patient needs and schedules. Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving practice efficiency and patient care. Assist with marketing and patient recall efforts when needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred). Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a dental or medical office (front desk or coordinator role preferred). Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix) Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Full-time or part-time depending on clinic needs. Office-based in a clinical setting.
