Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as directed by physicians
  • Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is required
  • Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, eClinicalWorks ,
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
