In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and patient follow-ups Collect and process medical payments and insurance claims utilizing medical billing and coding knowledge including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards, and Medicare guidelines Review and update medical records ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing clear communication about appointment details, directions, or billing inquiries Maintain clinic supplies, organize files, and perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and 10-key typing with precision Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation review and assisting with health information management tasks Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role within a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing processes Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; strong typing skills including 10-key proficiency Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively Previous clinic experience along with understanding of health insurance processes and health information management is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and medical records management Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care support while maintaining efficient clinic operations.
