SUMMARY:
Answers all incoming calls and routes to the appropriate department, schedules patient appointments for 11 Physicians, collects patient demographic and insurance information, sorts and distributes mail, schedules injections and provides the patient with their estimated cost, assists the physicians with all schedule changes
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answers phone system Schedules patient appointments accurately and efficiently Works in a fast-paced environment with 11 Physicians Answers all incoming calls and routes to appropriate department Provides a positive contribution to a valued team approach Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Computer skills required: Knowledge of Athena EHR system preferred At least 2 years of medical experience, preferred At least 2 years of previous experience in a customer service role Experienced in scheduling appointments using a multiline phone system Anatomy and medical terminology knowledge preferred Clear understanding of insurance plans preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to make timely and sound decisions Strong organizational and problem solving skills
