Our diverse team handles a broad range of immigration matters, from routine filings to complex litigation, with an unwavering focus on client outcomes. The Role The Intake Clerk is often the first person a prospective client speaks with, and the quality of that first conversation shapes the client's experience with the firm. This role focuses on screening incoming inquiries, gathering preliminary case information, and scheduling consultations with the appropriate attorney. Because so many of our prospective clients are navigating stressful immigration matters, often in their second language, the Intake Clerk plays an essential role in making sure every person who calls feels heard and respected.
Location:
This is a fully in-person, full-time position based in our Fort Worth office. What You'll Do Answer incoming calls from prospective clients and coordinate with the firm's answering service Conduct initial intake screenings to gather preliminary information about the caller's immigration situation and identify the appropriate practice area Schedule and confirm consultation appointments with the correct attorney based on case type Greet prospective clients and visitors and direct them to the appropriate attorney or staff member Process consultation payments in person and over the phone with accuracy and discretion Enter intake information into the firm's case management system with attention to detail and completeness Follow up with prospective clients who have not scheduled or completed a consultation Prepare and update internal telephone lists and directories Assist with maintaining the firm calendar Submit and track maintenance requests with building management Other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken Excellent communication skills, including a warm and professional phone manner Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and standard office equipment (multi-line phone systems, copiers, scanners) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive demeanor Preferred Prior intake, reception, or customer service experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting Familiarity with basic immigration law concepts or experience working with immigrant communities Experience processing payments and reconciling daily receipts Experience with legal case management software
Compensation and Benefits Salary:
$30,000-$40,000 annualized, commensurate with experience and pro-rated for part-time schedule
