Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring that patients receive exceptional service and support. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the practice. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate scheduling and record-keeping. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain patient files and records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology. Coordinate appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers effectively. Handle medical collections and ensure proper documentation of payments received. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies inventory. Skills Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office or hospital setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus, along with knowledge of medical coding practices. Proficient typing skills to manage documentation efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
