Must be highly proficient in basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and accurately calculating percentages) Due to the complexity of this surgical specialty, candidates without prior medical office experience will not be considered. We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is critical in creating a positive first impression for patients while ensuring efficient front office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable handling insurance-related tasks, and confident in both administrative and patient-facing responsibilities. Duties & Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes Schedule appointments and manage the provider's calendar efficiently Verify patient insurance information as needed Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect and process patient forms, payments, and balances Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information about services Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth office operations Manage incoming/outgoing faxes, and properly file and distribute documents Assist with office organization, supplies, and general front desk workflow Qualifications & Experience Previous medical office experience
REQUIRED
(front desk, receptionist, or similar role) Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical office workflows Basic understanding of insurance verification and patient financial responsibility Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must be highly proficient in basic math, including accurate calculation of percentages (non-negotiable) Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates strongly preferred What We're Looking For Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong work ethic and high level of integrity Critical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve in real time Someone reliable, efficient, and proactive Comfortable interacting with patients and handling sensitive information Able to maintain professionalism under pressure Team player willing to support overall clinic operations
