Job Summary We are seeking a caring, skilled, and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This full-time position requires working split hours between our Calallen and Kingsville clinic locations. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, efficient front-office support to ensure every patient has a positive experience. Job Duties
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Obtain and document correct insurance information, and any other necessary patient demographics data
  • Enter all patients in the schedule and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Answer multi line telephones and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
  • Assist with medical billing and coding as needed
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders for supplies and scheduling equipment service and repairs
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desired
  • Familiarity with medical receptionist duties is a plus
  • Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Schedule
