Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical billing and collections efficiently Manage electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy, including documentation review and updates in compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Handle phone communication with professionalism, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to support billing processes Maintain organized medical records, files, and documentation in accordance with clinic policies and health information management standards Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing office administrative tasks using Microsoft Office tools Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office support role with clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Familiarity with medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and health insurance processes including Medicare procedures Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing skills (including 10 key typing) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure patient privacy at all times Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone etiquette and in person Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and electronic health record management This position offers an engaging environment where your administrative expertise directly contributes to high-quality patient care.
