Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such ECW. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and assist with patient billing and collections using medical billing software. Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. Assist with intake procedures, medical scheduling, and appointment confirmations to ensure smooth clinic operations. Support medical administrative tasks such as insurance claims processing, care plan documentation, and medical records management using EMR system ecw. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation review and proper coding for billing purposes. Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment while adhering to office policies and procedures. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or as a medical receptionist within a clinical or dental setting. Experience with ECW Familiarity with medical terminology. Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities in bilingual settings preferred. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing accuracy. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
