Experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator Young Horizon Dental - Mesquite, TX Full-Time | Private Dental Practice Young Horizon Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator who is dependable, organized, professional, and confident managing the day-to-day responsibilities of a dental front office. We are looking for someone who understands dental scheduling, insurance, patient communication, treatment coordination, and collections and can help provide an excellent experience from the patient's first phone call through completion of treatment. Responsibilities Answer incoming calls professionally and help convert new-patient calls into scheduled appointments Welcome patients and manage check-in and check-out Manage the doctor's schedule and maintain an organized and productive day Schedule new patients, treatment, emergencies, and follow-up appointments Confirm appointments and help minimize cancellations and no-shows Present treatment plans and clearly explain estimated patient portions Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits Understand PPO dental insurance, including deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, waiting periods, and limitations Enter and maintain accurate insurance information Submit dental claims and required attachments Follow up on outstanding and unpaid insurance claims Review EOBs and insurance payments for accuracy Help patients understand their insurance benefits without guaranteeing coverage Maintain accurate patient information and documentation Monitor outstanding patient balances and accounts receivable Maintain an organized front office and smooth patient flow Communicate effectively with the doctor and clinical team Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and continuing care Help maintain efficient front-office systems and workflows Provide a welcoming, professional, and caring patient experience Required Qualifications Previous dental front-office experience required Experience with dental insurance verification and PPO plans Experience submitting and following up on dental insurance claims Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting patient payments Understanding of dental terminology and common dental procedures Excellent phone and patient communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Comfortable learning and using dental technology Strongly Preferred Open Dental experience Experience with electronic dental claims and attachments Experience presenting treatment plans Experience with insurance aging and accounts receivable Experience working with multiple PPO insurance plans Experience maintaining a productive dental schedule Experience following up on unscheduled treatment Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the front office and understands that excellent patient care begins before the patient enters the treatment room.
