Established in 2008 with a focus on Excellence and Quality care, has enabled growth and expansion over the years. The company is seeking a qualified Medical Records Clerk minimum 1-year proven experience in the home health industry performing Medical records management, orders manager support, pre-claim review process and facilitate the communication functions of the business office, provide clerical support, and excellent customer service.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
High School Graduate (College Preferred)
Required Experience:
One-year Medical Records management experience in Home Health and working knowledge of Kinnser/Wellsky EMR Software. Understanding of HMO, Medicaid, and Medicare Payors.
Skills:
Ability to Multi-task in fast-paced environment, excellent computer skills required, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to type 40 to 50 WPM. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, MS Office, Word, Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Excellent written and communication skills. Excellent Customer Service and telephone skills. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
Overview of Job Duties:
Works in a routine office environment. Noise level may be moderately high. Ability to work during regular working hours as needed from M-F 8:30 - 5pm.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Prolonged sitting and some standing required. Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to fifty pounds. Frequent need to stoop, kneel and reach while accessing files. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and staff/patient needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Excellent written and communication skills. Required problem-solving skills.
Essential functions:
Medical Records Assists with maintenance of various files Provides clerical support which may include preparation of packets; monitoring and ordering office supplies and forms, typing, special projects, filing and copying Facilitates the communications system which may include: mail distribution, pagers, phone systems, memo's, answers incoming calls, documents and disseminates appropriate messages. Promotes company philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to clients and partners. Provides basic support and data entry on EMR Software. Provides effective communication to clients, team members, and other professionals and maintains confidentiality under HIPAA. Performs patient intake Performs patient eligibility and other duties as required
