- Check Out , you'll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting providers, clinical staff, and front office operations.

Paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with a 4% employer match 80% employer-paid medical insurance for employees, with optional low-cost dental, vision, and family plans Pet insurance, legal insurance, identity theft protection, travel insurance, and employee discount programs Opportunities to grow within a fast-paced, expanding healthcare organization What You'll Do Check out patients following completion of their scheduled visits Ensure patients are properly and fully checked out and all applicable follow-up needs are addressed Review patient information and provider orders for accuracy and completion Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with appropriate non-clinical information regarding their next steps Review procedure orders to ensure they are assigned to the appropriate department and properly completed or closed Document patient-declined procedures according to established workflows Assist with patient check-in when additional front desk coverage is needed Answer incoming front desk calls promptly and professionally Coordinate telemedicine appointments between patients, providers, and Medical Assistants Review upcoming clinic schedules for accuracy and identify scheduling or workflow concerns Assist with TBI appointment coordination, cancellations, and no-show workflows Prepare, organize, and scan patient packets and documentation into the appropriate patient chart Assist patients who express interest in Epic Wellness services and connect them with the appropriate team member Communicate procedure cancellations and no-shows to appropriate departments and PI Case Managers Work closely with Check-In staff, Medical Assistants, providers, PI Case Managers, and other departments to maintain efficient patient flow Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Athena/AthenaOne Protect patient confidentiality and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA requirements Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-ready front desk environment Provide courteous and patient-centered customer service at all times Assist with additional front desk and administrative responsibilities as operational needs ariseRequirements:
Required Qualifications Previous Pain Management experience required Previous hands-on Athena/AthenaOne experience required Previous medical front office, patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, or patient access experience required High school diploma or equivalent required Strong understanding of medical office and patient flow processes Ability to review patient schedules, provider orders, and documentation for accuracy and completeness Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-provider healthcare environment Ability to communicate professionally with patients, providers, Medical Assistants, and other departments Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately safeguard patient information Dependable attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and follow-through are essential Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Previous experience with patient check-in and check-out Experience with procedure scheduling and order workflows Experience in a multi-provider or specialty medical practiceBenefits
