Established dermatology practice in Plano, Texas, seeking one full-time, dermatology front office employee as our practice grows. Our ideal candidate is one who exhibits excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and professionalism, and always puts the patient first. Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior front office medical experience Prior Medical Assistant experience in Dermatology a plus, but not a requirement EMR experience is a plus, but not a requirement High school diploma or equivalent required

Excellent interpersonal skills Effective communication skills (written and oral) Team Player Ability to manage multiple tasks Self-starter and motivated Knowledgeable in HIPAA regulation and maintaining patient confidentiality Computer proficiency
Job Duties:
Greet, check-in/check out patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience Answer phone calls, book/change/confirm appointments, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members Verify patient information, update medical records, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Check benefits, collect co-pays, deductible and coinsurance as well as process insurance information Assist with patient intake forms and ensure accuracy of patient data Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Perform general administrative tasks such as faxing and scanning documents Basic medical office procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Knowledge of commercial insurance and Medicare Knowledge of medical benefits and terminology Knowledge of obtaining referrals Willingness to cross train in all front office tasks and back office medical assistant duties Spanish a plus
