Spherion Staffing is seeking a dynamic, patient-focused Medical Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our practice. This position is located in Abilene, TX. In this vital role, you will manage front-office operations, deliver exceptional patient care experiences, and streamline clinical workflows using our electronic health record (EHR) platform, eClinicalWorks (eCW). Your organization, warm demeanor, and attention to detail will ensure a seamless visit for our patients and a supportive environment for our ENT physicians and clinical team.

Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Check-In/Check-Out:

Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage the check-in and check-out process, verify patient demographics, update insurance details, and collect co-pays/balances.

EHR Management (eClinicalWorks): Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) to schedule appointments, register new patients, update medical history, send patient communications, and manage digital charts accurately.

Phone & Communication Management:

Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, triage patient calls, answer inquiries, and route messages efficiently to clinical staff or specialists. ...

Appointment Scheduling:

Manage daily clinical calendars and optimize appointment schedules for ENT physicians and audiologists to ensure steady patient flow.

Insurance Verification & Authorizations:

Verify patient insurance coverage, ensure active benefits, and assist with referral or pre-authorization routing as required.

Administrative & Clerical Support:

Maintain organized digital and physical patient records, manage incoming/outgoing faxes and medical records requests, and handle incoming medical mail with privacy and accuracy.

Working hours:

8:00 PM - 5:00

AM Skills:
Experience:

1-2+ years of front desk or receptionist experience in a medical office or outpatient practice (ENT or specialty clinic experience is a plus).

EHR Expertise:

Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strongly preferred.

Education:
High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and healthcare software/computers.

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone etiquette. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are highly desirable.

Organizational Skills:

Outstanding ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced clinical environment.
