Job Description:
Answer phones in a timely manner and take messages for physician and/or staff. Schedule appointments requested while ensuring the provider is on the health insurance plan. Greet patients, give any paperwork to complete, scan driver's license and insurance cards. Scan in paperwork once completed. Check demographics, insurance, referral, and fill in any missing areas or update any areas needed. Add referring and primary care doctors. Once completed put chart up and mark Arrived in system and place chart up for techs. Schedule patients referred out to another specialist or any diagnostic testing requested by provider. Schedule patient followup appointments, collect copay, deductible, co-insurance and/or balances as noted. Mark patient as Checked Out. Scan in all documents and testing into patient's chart. Verify insurance for any emergency add ons. Check faxes, messages through eClinicalworks, and voicemails on a daily basis. Balance money at end of the day. Prepare charts for upcoming appointments, call to confirm appointments, reschedule appointments. Willing to travel to Cypress office on a as needed basis. Candidates should have at least 2 years of medical office experience and insurance verification experience. Must display the ability to multitask and provide great customer service. Dependable, organized, and clean, professional image. Strong computer knowledge as well as working with EMR software.
