Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for a positive patient experience. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, handling medical and dental administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in medical billing, insurance processing, and electronic health record (EHR) systems will contribute to delivering exceptional care and efficient service. We are looking for a motivated professional eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clinical confidentiality and providing outstanding patient service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using dental practice management software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily patient flow Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and perform billing and collection activities accurately Maintain and update electronic health records Handle phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors using excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills Manage medical records filing, documentation review, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Assist with clinical administrative support including coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), care plans, and health information management tasks Skills Proven experience in dental reception with strong clerical skills Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, and dental billing procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual environments preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management Understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance at all times Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate support at every step of their dental care journey.
