Job Description

Deer Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation is currently searching for a dedicated Medical Records/ Receptionist to join our team. We recommend having a C.N.A. and or CMA License. Daytime - M-F 8am-5pm Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. Medical Records Department Medical Records Director Requirements:

Medical Records:
Familiarity with managing and maintaining medical records is important for ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with legal requirements. Experience in Medical Records role for at least 2 years. Recommend having a CNA, and/ or CMA license Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required. Completion of orientation required by company policy. Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment. Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire. Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check. Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job. Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
Answer telephone, refer calls, and take messages as needed. Pass along a resident's direct phone # to reduce the volume of calls which need to be forwarded. Greet and direct visitors, welcome everyone to the facility. Complete the incident log on a daily basis. Maintain an up-to-date mailing list of responsible parties for all families of residents. Run errands (trips to laboratory, physician's offices, business office supplies, etc.) as necessary. Ensure all outgoing mail is sent each day and incoming mail is directed to the appropriate department, resident, or personnel. Type letters, reports, documents, statements, purchase orders, invoices, minutes of meetings, agendas, etc., as necessary, or as directed. Provide customer service support to residents, family members, visitors, and staff. Prepare New Hire/Orientation packets, as well as Admission packets. Ensure administrative supplies have been replenished in work areas, as necessary. Reorder new supplies, as needed and within the budget allocated. Document purchases made and ensure that expenses are limited to the budget allocated.
