This position is often the first and last point of contact for our patients, so we are looking for someone who is welcoming, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office. The Front Desk / Receptionist will be responsible for a variety of patient-facing and administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, maintaining accurate patient information, and helping keep the front office running smoothly. This position will also assist with vision and medical insurance, including verifying eligibility and benefits, obtaining insurance information from patients, understanding copays and coverage, entering insurance information accurately, and helping resolve insurance-related questions or issues. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and able to communicate clearly with patients, coworkers, doctors, and insurance companies. Previous medical, dental, optometry, or insurance experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and provides excellent customer service.
