Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for an Imaging Coordinator.
Location:
Kaysville Business Office Hours :
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Schedule patients for MRI, CT, and Ultrasound procedures Greet patients in a warm, friendly, and prompt manner Gather patient and insurance information efficiently and accurately. Obtain pre-authorization of various radiology procedures with insurance companies Call and remind patients of their appointment 24 hours prior to their scheduled time Give patients schedule for CT exams and instructions on how to prepare for their scheduled exam Reschedule appointments for patients and providers promptly and professionally Work on a EHR system Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous medical scheduling experience preferred. Previous healthcare experience and/or familiarity with medical terminology helpful. Experience with business office equipment (credit card machines, fax machines, printers, etc.) preferred.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of laws and guidelines regarding medical records maintenance, confidentiality, and release. Knowledge of medical terminology and departmental services.
Skills:
Basic computer skills Possess pleasant and effective written, verbal, and telephone communication skills. Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging. Adequate hearing to answer phone and speak with patients. Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers and patients.
Abilities:
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations Elicits appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person. Prevents, calms, or defuses irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls.

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
