We are looking for a professional, organized, and compassionate Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, managing patient communications, and supporting our medical staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient scheduling, including appointment confirmations and rescheduling. Maintain accurate patient records both electronic and paper and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Verify and update patient insurance and contact information. Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
Maintain reception area:
clean, organized, professional appearance Assist with medical collections as needed. Utilize EHR systems such as Simple Practice, DocVilla, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for patient data management. Qualifications Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a medical office or clinic setting is a plus. Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliant). Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and insurance processes. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to type efficiently (40 key typing). Excellent communication skills-- both verbal and written. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus, not required) Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently, and remain calm under pressure.
