In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the efficient functioning of our clinic while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software: Dentrix Ascend Verify insurance coverage and eligibility Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including data entry and updating electronic health records Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages Maintain accurate dental records, medical documentation review, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Assist with administrative support tasks including filing, faxing, copying, and managing medical records in accordance with health information management standards Qualifications Prior experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology Proficiency in dental practice management software Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism Knowledge of insurance verification processes Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and care plan coordination Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations in a busy clinic setting is preferred Compensation based on experience, proficiency, job performance and years in the dental field. Range from $17-22/hour plus dental benefits, life insurance, AD&D policy and bonus system.
