Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software Manage patient records with precision, including updating electronic health records Verify insurance coverage, explain treatment plans, and assist with billing processes including medical collection efforts and medical billing procedures Handle phone communications professionally, providing clear information about services, appointment availability, and insurance policies Maintain clinic organization by filing documents, reviewing medical documentation for accuracy, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans and ensuring all documentation aligns with medical terminology standards such as CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare requirements Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical office setting, preferably within a dental clinic environment Familiarity with dental insurance processes, dental coding, a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person while demonstrating proper phone etiquette and professional demeanor Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, and maintaining accurate dental records Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards Prior dental clinic experience with scheduling, administrative support, and front desk operations is preferred Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us in delivering outstanding patient experiences by combining your administrative expertise with your passion for healthcare!
