Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, handle insurance verification, and support administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office management systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing processes. Bilingual abilities and prior dental office experience are highly valued. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate insurance information entry. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Collect payments, process copays Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as PerioVision or similar platforms. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Perform administrative duties including filing, data entry (10 key typing), document review. Requirements Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred; clinical experience is a plus. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or PerioVision Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phones. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office operations is highly advantageous.
