Job Overview Join our vibrant Pediatric Dental practice as a Front Desk Coordinator and be the welcoming face of our clinic! In this energetic role, you will manage patient interactions, handle administrative duties, and ensure smooth clinic operations. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, managing medical records, and supporting the clinical team with essential administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients and families warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times Schedule and confirm appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft. Verify insurance benefits and process medical billing and collections efficiently using health insurance knowledge and HIPAA compliance standards Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation review processes Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly and scheduling follow-up visits Maintain clinic organization by filing medical records, managing electronic health records (EHR), and ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are followed Assist with clinical documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and care plan support to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping Support office operations by handling clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, 10-key typing, and maintaining office supplies Experience Prior experience working in a dental or medical front desk role is highly preferred, especially within a pediatric or dental clinic setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Demonstrated proficiency in medical billing, coding (ICD-9/10, CPT), and health insurance processes including Medicare familiarity Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management policies, and clinical confidentiality standards (HIPAA compliance) Proven clerical experience involving appointment scheduling, phone communication, filing, and data entry using Microsoft Office tools Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and record management Join us in making a difference in children's oral health by providing compassionate support from the front desk.
