Job Description

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. Welcome patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office Schedule patient well/sick visits Collect payment balances Scan pertinent patient information into EMR such as insurance and update demographic changes Respond to emails that arrive using the general office email address Summary As a Medical Receptionist, you will be essential in providing outstanding administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the office manager, your role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining medical records, and ensuring efficient front desk operations. Your core skills in patient service and medical office experience will be vital for creating a welcoming environment. Additionally, your proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of medical terminology will enhance patient care. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting, demonstrating strong patient service skills Proficiency in medical terminology and EHR systems Solid clerical and administrative skills with a focus on medical records management Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical collection processes Competence in using Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
