Job Description

Well-recognized, conscientious ophthalmology practice in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a full-time Receptionist. On the job training is provided and will include education on comprehensive eye care. This is an exciting opportunity to learn, interact with patients, and have a positive impact on those who seek care in our practice. We have a great team and we are looking forward to adding someone who shares our vision to provide excellent patient care.
Duties:
Schedule office visit and procedure appointments Answer phone Check in/ check out Collect copays Verify insurance Medication prior authorizations Patient work up Confirm office visits Prepare exam rooms Request medical records Professional attire required.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00 pm; optional Friday off, once or twice a month Summary As a Receptionist, you will be essential in providing outstanding patient service and administrative support within our medical office. You will utilize your core skills in medical office experience and clerical tasks to manage patient flow and coordinate front desk operations. Your proficiency in computer skills and communication will facilitate effective interactions with patients and staff. Additionally, your knowledge of medical terminology and experience with EMR systems will enhance our ability to deliver quality healthcare. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office environment, demonstrating clerical and front desk office experience, preferred but not required Excellent patient service and communication skills Strong computer skills, including proficiency in EMR systems Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
