Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software and coordinate follow-up visits Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure confidentiality according to clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, address patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate documentation review for treatment plans, care coordination, and coding procedures including
CPT, ICD-9/10
coding for billing purposes Support clinical staff by managing filing systems, medical records management, and performing administrative tasks such as typing reports and data entry with high accuracy Requirements Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or similar platforms Familiarity with dental clinic operations including appointment scheduling, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), billing procedures, and insurance claims processing Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Strong understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA to ensure patient privacy and data security Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings preferred Prior experience handling medical administrative support tasks such as filing, phone communication, typing (including 10 key), and health information management Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies along with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude Join our team today to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through outstanding service!
