Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Associate to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong administrative capabilities, accurate calculation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental office operations. In this role, you will be an important point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, collecting copays, and maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring a smooth and welcoming patient experience. Duties Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service, ensuring a positive first impression. Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software (Dentrix). Verify insurance coverage, process claims, calculate and collect patient copays, and handle billing procedures. Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation. Answer multi-line phone systems warmly and professionally. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Support the dental team by coordinating patient intake processes, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. Strong knowledge of health insurance procedures, HIPAA compliance, and health information management. Experience in medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and medical billing to facilitate accurate claim submissions and reimbursements. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Proven customer service skills combined with professional phone communication expertise. Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving. X-ray certification preferred but not required.
