Neospine is looking for an energetic, hardworking individual who enjoys working as a team and always puts the patients first. Responsibilities of the Front Office Medical Receptionist Provides exceptional customer service and creates a friendly, caring, professional environment. Answers Phone calls to schedule follow up clinic appointments. Screens calls as necessary and relays information in an accurate, concise manner. Effectively provides a smooth patient flow for check-in, check-out, and answering phones. Assist with preparing Medical Records. Verity's patient identity, demographics and insurance eligibility. Scans documents into Electronic Medical Records. Conducts all activities in a confidential, professional, personable manner. Completes duties and performs other duties as assigned. Obtains all information from the referring physician's office, if applicable Maintains patient privacy per HIPAA regulations. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physician's and staff. Uses time efficiently with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and completion. Demonstrates patience, composure and cooperation with patients, physician's and staff. Adapts to change or unexpected event while remaining positive. Requirements of the Medical Receptionist High School Diploma or GED required, 2 year or 4 year Degree preferred Minimum 2 years of customer service, general office or receptionist vocational training experience required. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; and ability to troubleshoot. Work independently with minimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively.
