Job Description
A privately owned optometrist office is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist (40 hours/week) to join our friendly and dedicated team. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.
What We're Looking For:
Successful candidates should possess strong multitasking , organizational , interpersonal , and communication skills. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, so a warm smile and professional demeanor are essential.Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients with outstanding customer service
- Coordinate patient flow throughout the office
- Check patients in and out
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Answer multi-line telephone system
- Verify vision and medical insurance benefits
- Demonstrate basic understanding of medical billing
- Prepare and manage patient paperwork
- Check voicemail, take messages, and respond to emails
- Collect payments and manage transactions
- Order and dispense contact lenses
- Assist the Optician with various tasks as needed
Tech Savvy Required:
Our practice uses a web-based EMR and recall system, so comfort with computers and electronic devices is a must.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology is a plus, but not required
- Friendly, compassionate, patient, punctual, detail-oriented
- Team player with strong time management and work ethic
- Committed to a long-term position
Schedule:
Full-time:
40 hours/week. Includes one Saturday per month, 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM Benefits for
